+Jeanne Heimann, mother of Dr. Nora Heimann, Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Art, died on Friday, January 2, 2009.

+Jakub J. Janecka, a graduate student in the Biology.

+John Palmer, stepfather of Nicholas Backert, a senior student in the School of Engineering.

+Catherine LaGarde, grandmother of Glynnis LaGarde.

+Jacque Lafranchise, uncle of Claire McGrath-Merkle, Annual Fund Coordinator in the Columbus School of Law.

+ Ling-Ye Liu, mother-in-law of Min-Jing Chen, Library Assistant in the Engineering Architecture and Math Library.

+Joan Bogert, grandmother of Elizabeth Kuebler a student in the School of Arts and Sciences.

+Margaret Lee Kiely, mother of Sr. Maria Kiely, a graduate student in the School of Arts and Sciences.

+Edward Ficke, brother of Marion Ficke, Assistant to the Chair and Pre-Med Coordinator in the Department of Biology.

+Gwendolyn Whilemena Johnson, mother of Adrienne T. Washington, Lecturer in the Department of Media Studies.

+Donald Francis Clifford, '57 CUA Alumnus, died on October 19, 2008.
