RCIA and Confirmation

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is designed for those students who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely wish to begin the journey of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts. By God's help they will be strengthened spiritually during this journey of faith and at the proper time will receive the sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist and Confirmation. The Confirmation program is designed for those baptized Catholics who have received first communion and have had basic religious education and who want to complete their initiation into the Church.

the RCIA & Confirmation programs will meet on Tuesdays in the Campus Ministry lounge at 7:30PM. The evening will run approximately an hour to an hour and a half and will include prayer and a presentation on a topic concerning Church doctrine by one of the team members or faculty member of the School of Theology. Those individuals who have chosen to journey through the RCIA process will also be asked to attend the 11:00AM Mass on Sundays at St. Vincents Chapel and participate in Dismissal and Breaking Open the Word.
