Encounter the Spirit is a charismatic prayer group that gathers together to praise and worship the Lord for all God's blessings. As we offer our praises in song, we recognize God's surpassing greatness over all and yet God's goodness also embraces us with the unconditional love of a merciful Father. We therefore strive to grow in our knowledge of God by listening to the Word that is deep within our hearts through Sacrced Scripture, Church teaching and faith-sharing. As we gather together in prayer, we recognize that we are all brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ, and as one family, we seek Christ to lead us to the Father through the Spirit that has been given to us in baptism.

St. John XXIII prayed for "a new Pentecost", and we can see the fruits of his prayer in the world today. The Holy Spirit is indeed moving powerfully within the Church by bestowing the spiritual gifts in abundance upon the faithful. It is to this Spirit that we enturst ourselves so as to place ours lives at the service of Christ for for the fulfillment of God's Kingdom on earth. We take the example of our Blessed Lady, Spouse of the Holy Spirit, as model and inspiration in living a life which is full of grace.

Join us for open meetings in Caldwell Chapel on Mondays from 8pm-9:30pm.
