|Week of March 2, 2014|
Lent begins this week. There are a number of things to take note of:
Join Students on the Mount by participating in Operation Rice Bowl, Catholic Relief Services' Lenten program, as a way to encounter Jesus through others. Rice Bowls will be available after Mass today as well as on Ash Wednesday. Make a difference in the lives of the poor this Lent.
During Lent, there will be daily Eucharistic Adoration in Caldwell Chapel. If wish to commit to one hour, sign-up sheets will be in Caldwell Chapel all week or you can email Ajani Gibson at 75gibson. Unless every slot is filled, we will not be able to have adoration this Lent.
Spread the Word to End the Word! Visit the Best Buddies table in the Pryz all week to learn more and pledge to stop the R-word. Also, on Thursday, CUA Alumnus and Chairman of Special Olympics Tim Shriver will lead an “End the Word” talk at 6:30pm in Great Room A. All are invited to attend.
The 40 Days for Life Lenten Campaign starts soon! Donate just an hour of your week to pray for Life. Check out the SFL Nest page for more details.
Join the Encounter the Spirit retreat in discovering who God is on Saturday, March 22 from 9:30am – 4:00pm. Cost is $5. Sign up at ministry.cua.edu.
