Office of Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry Student Groups and Affiliated Student Organizations

________________________________________________________________________

The Office of Campus Ministry works with a variety of student groups and organizations.  Each group or organization has a unique working relationship with CM.

Campus Ministry Student Groups

Campus Ministry student groups are groups which are directly connected to and sponsored by the Office of Campus Ministry.  They are provided with professional support, possible financial support, and all office resources, which include use of vans, office space, office supplies, and advertisement assistance.

Current CM Student Groups:

            Esto Vir
            Gratia Plena
            High School Ministry

Men’s Discernment Group

Women’s Discernment Group

Service and Justice Council

Mission Jamaica Team

Affiliated Student Organizations

Campus Ministry affiliated organizations are distinct in that they are independent student organizations which are registered and recognized by the Office of University Center, Student Programs and Events (UCSPE).

Organizations are eligible to be considered affiliated with CM only if their mission and activities are directly related to the mission of the Office of Campus Ministry and/or if a member of the professional staff serves as adviser.

Campus Ministry affiliated organizations must understand themselves to be in partnership with the Office of Campus Ministry. Affiliated organizations may be provided with professional support, possible van use for a fee, possible use of office space, and advertisement opportunities, all at the discretion of the professional staff.

A reciprocal relationship is necessary if the CM office is to continue to offer its resources and support.  Leadership of the affiliated organization agrees to be in dialogue with a professional staff member.  Organizations agree to defer to the pastoral discretion of the professional staff if and when concerns arise.

Current Affiliated Student Organizations:

            Habitat for Humanity

            Students for Life

            Best Buddies

            Knights of Columbus

  Pax Christi

Interested student organizations must submit a letter of request and arrange for the leadership of the organization to meet with a member(s) of the professional staff.  Affiliation with the Office of Campus Ministry will be determined on a case by case basis at the discretion of the professional staff in consideration with the larger pastoral plan of the office and the university.  Organizations will be notified in writing if affiliation is granted.
